Barrel Organs in English Parish Churches
In Calke Abbey Park, which is owned by the National Trust. Barrel organ by Flight & Robson installed c.1865. The organ is located in the west gallery. Castellated oak Gothic case with dummy pipes (5-9-5). Stop list: Open Diapason, Stopped Diapason, Principal. Five green barrels. Barrels 1 & 2 are labelled ‘Flight & Robson, ORGAN BUILDERS to His Majesty, 101 St Martin’s Lane, LONDON’, 3 & 4 are by Charles Lincoln of Great Bowden, one is unnamed.
